Live tracking updates every 5 seconds by default. You can switch to 15-min or hourly updates to reduce bandwidth. Real-time mode uses WebSocket for instant updates when prices change at the retailer.
Each update is ~150 bytes. At 1 update per 5 seconds, that's ~30 bytes/sec or ~2.6MB/month per product. Even tracking 100 products uses less than 300MB/month. Very lightweight compared to video streaming.
No. Live tracking is very efficient. Updates pause when the tab/app loses focus. The DOM updates only on price changes (not every refresh). Battery impact is negligible compared to social media apps.
You can track up to 1,000 products simultaneously. Performance stays smooth. Beyond that, we recommend using watchlists and narrowing to your top products of interest.
